Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)

Location: Portland, Oregon
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Floating between units: No
On-call requirement: Yes (One week of standby call during contract)
Weekend shifts: Yes (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)
Block schedules: No

Required Qualifications

Valid CT Technologist license in Oregon
Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience
CT Technologist experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment

Compliance & Documentation Requirements

Background check within 45 days of start, covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years, updated annually.
Drug screen: 10 panel within 90 days of start (no instant tests).
Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO.
Immunizations and health documents:
- TDAP (Tetanus/Diphtheria) within 10 years or declination
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months, updated annually
- MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
- Hepatitis B vaccination or signed declination
- Varicella vaccination or positive titer
- Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
- COVID vaccine or declination
Respirator clearance (RespSafety) required annually for travel candidates.
References: Minimum 2 supervisor references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years.
Employment application covering at least last 5 years.
Skills checklist and competency exams as applicable.

Work Requirements

Must be able to work weekends and one week of standby on-call during the contract.
May be required to float to other Providence facilities within a reasonable distance (float policy acknowledgment required).
Badge photo required for identification.
Completion of required WorkRamp training modules prior to start and annually thereafter, including specialty-specific and regional modules.
Epic system training and transcript required prior to moving to permanent documentation workflow.

Additional Notes

Facility uses Epic for charting.
Parking is free.
Scrub color is flexible (any color allowed).
Radiation badge issued by facility if applicable.
Color blindness testing may be required on a unit basis.

This position is ideal for CT Techs with prior travel experience looking for a weekend-focused contract in a short-term acute care setting in Portland, Oregon.

Generally speaking, Host Healthcare doesn't always have the highest rate on the market. Having gone with competing agencies in the past, I have often been disappointed and unsupported and ultimately found it wasn't worth the small pay bump
