Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

• Work schedule: Monday-Friday, four 10-hour shifts (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM)
• Operate CT scanners following physician orders to produce detailed diagnostic and interventional scans
• Perform patient care tasks including assisting patients onto the scanner, verifying identification, and entering patient information
• Ensure proper archiving and transmission of imaging files to PACS and RIS systems
• Maintain department facilities and stay updated on outpatient procedures and policies
• Competent in all routine outpatient CT exams
• Adjust scanner and injector settings for exams, ensuring patient safety and image quality
• Confirm correct patient and exam through patient interview and medical record review
• Explain exams to patients considering physical, emotional, and language needs to ensure compliance

Required Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in Massachusetts
• Minimum of 1 year of CT Technologist experience within the last year
• Experience in an outpatient setting
• Competent in all routine outpatient CT exams

Certifications and Compliance Requirements

• BLS certification (AHA preferred)
• Primary source verification of professional license within 30 days of start date
• N95 fit test within 365 days of start date, updated annually (no onsite fit testing)
• Documentation of MMR vaccination or immunity
• Influenza vaccine required during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 15), no exemptions allowed
• TB screening within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test), updated if >6 month break
• Physician health statement within 365 days of start date, updated if >6 month break
• Criminal background checks including Massachusetts CORI and national sex offender registry
• Verification of highest level of education achieved
• Respirator Medical Clearance attestation if fit test required
• Hepatitis B vaccination or immunity strongly preferred
• Tdap vaccine preferred within last 10 years
• Submission of references, skills checklist, resume, and other professional documentation as required

• Must adhere to all departmental and hospital policies
• No religious or medical exemptions allowed for vaccine and fit test requirements
• Documentation and credential verification must be maintained and updated as specified
