Job Opportunity: Registered Nurse (Cath Lab)

Location: Garden City, Kansas
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a Cath Lab Registered Nurse to circulate cases, monitor patients, and assist with prep and recovery in a cardiac catheterization lab setting.

Unit Details

• Cath Lab with 1 suite/lab
• Average 2–3 cases per day
• Cardiologist coverage 24/7
• Cath Lab Techs on staff: 3
• Shift schedule: 4x10 hour days with self-scheduling available
• Call requirements: Rotated 24/7 on weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating: Assist in Pre/Post procedure areas and serve as backup for Stress Lab
• Orientation: Unit-specific orientation with RNs and Techs in Lab and Pre/Post areas

Patient Population / Common Diagnoses

• STEMI (ST-Elevation Myocardial Infarction)
• Heart Failure
• Cardiovascular Disease
• Peripheral Vascular Disease
• Arrhythmia

Required Certifications

• ACLS (American Heart Association)
• BLS (American Heart Association)

Experience / Skills Required

• Telemetry or Critical Care experience
• Moderate sedation experience
• Procedural experience in Cath Lab or similar setting
• Familiarity with EPIC and GE Hemo electronic medical records/equipment

Additional Information

• Must be available in-state for orientation week (even if some modules are remote)
• Valid driver’s license must be submitted
• Dress code: Hospital-laundered scrubs

Required Qualifications

• Current RN license appropriate for Kansas
• Experience as noted above in Cath Lab or related critical care environment

On-Call and Scheduling

• 4x10 hour day shifts with rotating call coverage including nights, weekends, and holidays
• Call response time within 30 minutes
