Travel Med Surg RN - Poplar Bluff, Missouri

Job Description

• Floating required between two Med Surg units
• Work areas include:

  • Med Surg 5th floor (ortho, surgical, stroke)
  • Med Surg/Tele 6th floor (cardiac, respiratory, dialysis, hospice)
• 36 beds total
• Patient ratios: 1:5 to 1:7 depending on acuity
• EMR system: Cerner
• Scrub color: Royal Blue
• May be required to work on holidays such as Easter, Mother’s Day, or Memorial Day
• RTO (Return to Office) max: 36 hours unless otherwise discussed
• Blocked scheduling requests may be considered but are not guaranteed
• 48-hour weekly guarantees are NOT available

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• BLS certification required

• Floating between units is mandatory
• Prior travel experience is NOT explicitly required for this position
• Patient acuity and ratios may vary, requiring flexibility and adaptability
• Night shift hours with a 12.5-hour shift length
