Job Opportunity: CT Tech - Radiology (Travel)
Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Position Overview
- Role: CT Scan Technologist (Outpatient)
- Shift: 4x10 hour shifts, varied days and dayshift hours
- Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 40
- Call Requirements: To be discussed during interview
- May be required to float within the organization up to competency level
- May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
- Employer may call off shifts with 48 hours' notice for low census during the 13-week contract
Job Responsibilities
- Produce diagnostic CT scans and assist radiologists during procedures
- Ensure patient care while representing the organization's vision and mission
- Coordinate daily workflow and assist with throughput of ER, in-patients, and outpatients
- Perform quality control monitoring as specified by department standards
- Administer IV contrast materials under radiologist direction
- Operate CT scanning and contrast injecting equipment proficiently
- Use hospital and departmental computer systems for documentation and workflow
- Provide optimal patient care across all age groups (neonatal to geriatric) through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Maintain current CPR certification and complete mandatory in-services
- Make technical decisions to provide the best possible CT scans
- Manage care prioritization in a fast-paced environment with changing volumes
- Support strategic planning for the CT department
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Nevada
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification
- Experience performing X-ray procedures
- Experience working with patients across all age groups: neonate, adolescent, adult, and geriatric
