Job Description
- Patient care in a step-down unit with ratios:
- Step down: 3:1
- Day shift: 5:1
- Night shift: 7:1
- Responsibilities include:
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
- Pushing, pulling, lifting
- Medication administration
- Patient assessments
- Care plans
- Effective communication and teamwork
Required Qualifications
Licensure
- Valid New York RN license (State License Verification required within 30 days prior to start)
Certifications
- BLS (Basic Life Support) - AHA only
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) - AHA only
- 8 hours of Stroke Training (including NIHSS) required for permanent staff; travelers should be prepared for stroke training as needed
