Registered Nurse (RN) - Emergency Department (ED) Clinical Decision Unit

Location: Cape Girardeau, Missouri

Shift: Variable 3x12-hour shifts (to be discussed at interview)

Unit Type: Clinical Decision Unit within the medical-surgical setting
Patient Volume: Average daily patient flow of 70-80 in the ER
Unit Beds: 25
EMR System: EPIC

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department (ED) experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Unit and Work Environment

Typical ER patient population
Dress Code: Black scrubs required
No unacceptable attire specified

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate, plan, direct, and implement the nursing process in patient care delivery within the Clinical Decision Unit
Provide care in a medical-surgical setting focused on emergency patients

Additional Information

The facility is a Level 3 Emergency and Trauma Center with multiple certifications and designations related to cardiac and stroke care.
The role offers exposure to a busy ER environment with a diverse patient population.
