Job Opportunity: Temporary Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg (Nights)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Work schedule: 36-40 hours per week, with overtime billable after 40 hours.
• Orientation dates available from March through November 2026.
• Electronic Medical Record system used: EPIC.

Required Qualifications

• Specialty Experience: Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical RN experience.
• Prior Travel Experience: Must have completed at least 1 prior travel contract.
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) required.
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification required.
• Licenses: Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license for Wisconsin.
• Additional Requirements:

  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Work history/resume.
  • Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
  • License verification.
  • Copy of required certifications.
  • One supervisory reference at time of submission.
• Must be comfortable caring for neuro and surgical patients within the medical-surgical unit.
• Must have a taxable address outside a 50-mile radius from the facility (exceptions apply for Madison with a rate adjustment).
