Travel Nurse Opportunity: Med Surg RN – Nights

Location: Osage Beach, Missouri

Job Details

• Shift: Nights (7 PM – 7 AM)
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 12 hours each (36 hours/week)
• Unit: Medical-Surgical with 24 Med Surg/Telemetry beds (total 39 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:6
• Float: May float to other Med Surg units within scope of practice
• Charting System: Meditech (experience highly preferred)
• Medication System: McKesson
• Scrub Color: Royal blue (not provided)
• Possible call-off: 1 shift off for every 4 weeks worked (rarely used)

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license for Missouri
• Minimum 2 years of Med Surg nursing experience (higher requirement between 1 and 2 years applied)
• Certifications:

  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – required
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – required (can be obtained during placement process if needed)
  • NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) – required (can be obtained during placement process if needed)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – required
• Telemetry experience is a plus but not required

Additional Information

• Travelers must have housing secured prior to assignment due to limited affordable options in the area
• No acutely cardiac patients; mainly pacemaker monitoring and electrolyte management
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required
