Job Opportunity: CT Tech (Radiology / Cardiology)
Location: Germantown, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Shift: 3 shifts of 12 hours each (Friday, Saturday, Sunday from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM)
- Start Date: April
- Facility Type: Short Term Acute Care, Level IV Trauma Center
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT certification (CT) required
- Must comply with Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) guidelines; pending licenses not accepted
- Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers and local candidates within 50-mile radius not accepted
- Driver’s license must be included with submission
Required Documents & Compliance
- Two forms of government-issued ID (e.g., driver’s license, social security card, passport)
- Background check within 60 days of start including statewide, county, federal searches, and education verification
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks required within 30 days of start and updated annually
- Education verification required (diploma/transcript not accepted in lieu)
- Sex offender search and Tennessee Adult Abuse Registry search (TN only)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start, attesting ability to meet physical demands
- Negative 10-panel drug test within 30 days of start (no pending compliance allowed)
- Fit test for 3M N-95 mask within 1 year of start (must pass; facial hair not allowed)
- Immunizations: Proof of MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B as per facility policy
- TB test: True 2-step PPD, Q-Gold, or T-spot within 1 year, updated annually; chest x-ray if positive
- Flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption required during flu season (declinations not accepted)
- Two recent professional references required
- Skills checklist and internal evaluation as applicable
Certifications & Training
- Basic Life Support (BLS) - AHA or ARC required for all candidates except certain roles (CT Tech included)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) not specifically required for CT Tech
- National certification required for CT Techs (ARRT with CT credentials)
- State license: CT Techs assigned to Tennessee do not require a TN state license, only national certification
- Photo badge with strict guidelines required prior to start
Additional Notes
- All Return to Office (RTO) restrictions must be included at time of submission; late submissions will not be approved
- Dress code for CT Techs: Ceil blue top and pants with optional white lab coat or matching scrub jacket; no prints or embroidered scrubs allowed
- Facility requires confidentiality acknowledgment signed prior to start
- Onsite fit test and questionnaires may be required prior to start
This position is ideal for experienced CT Technologists with ARRT (CT) certification who are ready for a 13-week travel assignment in a Level IV Trauma Center setting with weekend shifts. Prior travel experience is required; first-time travelers and local candidates within 50 miles are not eligible.
