Registered Nurse - Case Management

Location: Brownsville, Texas
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM, 40 hours per week
  • Weekend rotation required
  • Unit: Case Management
  • Number of Beds: 214
  • Number of Staff on Unit: 11
  • Patient Ratios: 25-30 patients per nurse
  • Equipment used: Computer, immobile equipment, fax, printer
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Meditech, Midas, Careport

Typical Duties

  • Discharge planning
  • Care coordination
  • Utilization review and Interqual experience required

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in Texas
  • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
  • Minimum 1 year of Case Management experience as an RN, with experience within the last year
  • BLS certification
  • Utilization Review experience, including InterQual
  • Experience with discharge planning

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Meditech EMR system

Work Environment & Culture

  • Dress Code: Royal blue scrubs, business professional attire, white lab coat
