Audiologist - Johnson City, New York

Job Summary

Provide clinical audiological services to inpatients, outpatients, home care patients, nursing home patients, staff, vendors, and community groups. Prioritize services that directly impact patients and students.

Job Responsibilities

• Apply principles and methods for measurement, prediction, non-medical diagnosis, and testing related to auditory and vestibular disorders.
• Administer, interpret, and supervise clinical audiological services.
• Perform complete audiological evaluations (air, bone, speech).
• Conduct middle ear analysis and site of lesion testing.
• Monitor ototoxic medication effects.
• Perform NICU hearing screening and CAP testing.
• Conduct electro-physiological and industrial hearing screenings.
• Evaluate hearing aids, select, fit, and provide follow-up for amplification devices.
• Counsel hearing-impaired individuals or groups.
• Perform minor repair and modification of hearing instruments.
• Assist with program development and quality assurance data collection.
• Provide services as referred by physicians or mandated by New York State.
• Maintain medical records in compliance with OSHM, JCAHO, and certifying standards.
• Prepare reports for referring physicians on diagnostic findings and rehabilitation recommendations.

Contract Length

• 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

• Valid Audiologist license in New York
• Master's degree in Audiology
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience as an Audiologist
