Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Location: Orange, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 16-hour night shift position. This role requires the ability to circulate in the delivery room and work in a fast-paced, large hospital setting.

Schedule

Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts
Hours: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM
Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
No travel pairs accepted

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
Completion of at least one travel assignment
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Magnet recognized facility

Documentation and Compliance Requirements

Physical exam within 1 year of start
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
Immunizations: TDAP, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination)
Drug screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start
Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
COVID vaccine or declination
Respirator fit testing (annual)
Background check within 45 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
Education verification and employment references required
Skills checklist updated annually
Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and regional) prior to start and annually thereafter
Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required prior to start

Additional Notes

Local radius for assignment is 50 miles
Facility may call off once per pay period (2 weeks)
Travel pairs and scheduling requests for outside employment will not be accommodated
Floating to other units or facilities within a reasonable distance may be required

This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs who meet all certification and licensure requirements and have prior travel experience.
