    Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

    Location: Orange, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Summary

    Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse for a 16-hour night shift position. This role requires the ability to circulate in the delivery room and work in a fast-paced, large hospital setting.


    Schedule

    • Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts
    • Hours: 07:00 AM – 07:30 PM
    • Weekends may exceed every other weekend to accommodate unit needs
    • Scheduling requests due to outside employment will not be considered
    • No travel pairs accepted

    Requirements/Qualifications

    • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
    • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, with experience within the last year
    • Completion of at least one travel assignment
    • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
    • ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association or Canadian Heart & Stroke Foundation
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
    • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

    Facility Type

    • Acute Care Hospital
    • Magnet recognized facility

    Documentation and Compliance Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start
    • Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
    • Immunizations: TDAP, MMR (Rubeola, Mumps, Rubella), Varicella, Hepatitis B (or declination)
    • Drug screening: 10-panel within 90 days of start
    • Flu vaccine or declination during flu season
    • COVID vaccine or declination
    • Respirator fit testing (annual)
    • Background check within 45 days covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • Education verification and employment references required
    • Skills checklist updated annually
    • Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and regional) prior to start and annually thereafter
    • Photo for badge (passport style with neutral background) required prior to start

    Additional Notes

    • Local radius for assignment is 50 miles
    • Facility may call off once per pay period (2 weeks)
    • Travel pairs and scheduling requests for outside employment will not be accommodated
    • Floating to other units or facilities within a reasonable distance may be required

    This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs who meet all certification and licensure requirements and have prior travel experience.
