Description
Occupational Therapist (OT) - Inpatient Rehabilitation
Location: Jacksonville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Shift: Day shift (7:30 AM – 3:30 PM)
Workweek: Altered work week, Sunday through Thursday
Weekly Hours: 32 guaranteed hours, plus 8 weekend hours
Call Requirements: None
Patient Population: Adult inpatient rehabilitation
Job Description
Provide specialized occupational therapy services in an inpatient acute rehabilitation setting focused on recovery from stroke, brain injury, neurological conditions, trauma, spinal cord injury, amputation, and orthopedic injury. The role involves delivering individualized rehabilitation programs aimed at maximizing patient health, function, and quality of life.
Unit Profile
- 50-bed inpatient rehabilitation hospital
- Patient ratios approximately 1:5-7 depending on acuity
- Equipment includes advanced rehabilitation technology such as Smart Car, In-Motion Arm Bionik, Saebo, TBI gym, dedicated transfer rooms, outdoor functional courtyard, and EKSO (available soon)
- Electronic Health Record system: Cerner
Required Qualifications
- Valid Occupational Therapist license in Florida
- Degree in the field of Occupational Therapy
- Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year

- Neurological conditions (e.g., TBI, SCI)
- Orthopedic injuries
- Cardiopulmonary conditions
