Job Opportunity: Operating Room Nurse (Travel/Contract)

Location: Crescent City, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Circulating Operating Room nurse with on-call as needed.
Performs routine assignments and develops competence through structured work assignments.
Accountable for assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care including direct patient care, patient/family education, and transitions of care.
Provides holistic and individualized care considering psychological, sociocultural, spiritual, economic, and lifestyle factors.
Develops and manages interdisciplinary plans of care.
Maintains collaborative relationships with patients, families, physicians, and healthcare providers through effective communication.
Adheres to hospital policies, industry standards, best practices, and applicable laws/regulations to promote a quality patient experience.
Engages in continuous professional growth and development.
Every Other Week (EOW) schedule required.

Required Qualifications

Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in California.
Minimum of 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience, with OR experience within the last year.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
