Job Opportunity: RN ICU - Pediatrics

Location: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Registered Nurse (Direct Care)
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

Under general supervision, provide nursing care to pediatric ICU patients with a range of health problems from simple to complex. Responsibilities include:

Managing an assigned group of patients.
Documenting patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments.
Assisting physicians with examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
Monitoring physiological data and intervening as necessary.
Administering medications, intravenous infusions, and blood products.
Delivering competent patient care.
Communicating care plans with patients and families during hospitalization and at discharge.
Informing patients and families about hospital procedures.
Making referrals for patient care needs.
Delegating tasks to support staff.
Performing other assigned duties.

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma.
Minimum 1 year of ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience within the last year.
Experience working with Level 1 Trauma patients.
Trauma experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification issued by the American Heart Association.
Associate of Science in Nursing or Associate Degree in Nursing.
