Description
Registered Nurse (RN) - Medical Surgical ICU (Nights)
Location: Midland, Michigan
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
This position involves performing a variety of integrated pre- and post-operative critical care functions using the nursing process and broad nursing knowledge in a caring and concerned manner. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patients for physical, emotional, psychosocial, and family support needs.
- Organizing and coordinating all aspects of patient care according to patient needs.
- Evaluating patient progress by correlating patient information with nursing knowledge to determine if goals are being met according to the plan of care or clinical path.
- Consulting and collaborating with healthcare team members to plan and implement total patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2+ years of SICU (Surgical Intensive Care Unit) experience.
- Active Michigan Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification.
- Current American Heart Association ACLS certification.
- Work history and skills checklist pertinent to ICU specialty, current within 1 year.
- Two supervisory reference forms completed within the last two years.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior travel assignment history preferred.
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred.
Additional Information
- Scheduling requests must be submitted at the time of application; requests after offer may result in rescinded offer.
- Dress code: Navy blue scrubs.
- Facility is located on a 225-acre wooded campus with a 324-bed medical center offering a broad range of primary and specialty care services, including 24-hour emergency and Level II trauma care.
- Candidates residing within a 50-mile radius of the facility will not be considered.
