Description

Registered Nurse - Oncology

Location: Alamogordo, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Summary

Provide independent nursing care in an oncology setting, managing both routine and complex patient needs. Utilize nursing processes including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation. Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitor effectiveness and side effects, and document all care provided. Educate patients, families, and caregivers based on assessed learning needs.


Work Schedule

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
  • Full Time

Required Qualifications

  • Valid RN license in New Mexico
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum 1 year of oncology nursing experience within the last year
  • BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
