Registered Nurse - Med Surg/Tele Float (Night Shift)
Location: Anderson, South Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Position: Registered Nurse for Med Surg/Telemetry float pool
- Shift: Nights
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend (EOW)
- Floating: Required to float within scope to other Med Surg units as needed
- First-time travelers accepted
- Local candidates accepted
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in South Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of Med Surg experience, including experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Additional Requirements
- Proof of I9 or Attestation
- Government-issued photo ID required during hours of service
- Background checks including:
- 7-year criminal history check within one year of start, updated annually
- EPLS/GSA/SAM and HHS/OIG checks within 30 days of start and updated for renewals
- International background check if lived outside the U.S. in last 7 years
- Transcript or diploma required for certain specialties (e.g., Cath Lab, EP Lab RNs)
- Color blindness test (Ishihara) required
- Photo for badge (no visible nose piercing allowed)
- Completion of facility-specific COVID policy review prior to start
- Flu vaccination or approved exemption required during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 1)
- Physical exam within 1 year indicating good health
- Annual fit mask test (N95 or equivalent) required
- Negative TB test or chest X-ray per facility guidelines
- Required immunizations or titers: Rubeola (Measles), Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- 9-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
- Proof of 2 clinical references or hospital evaluations
- Completed employment application/resume
Notes
- Candidates must be willing and able to float to other Med Surg units as needed.
- Prior travel experience is not required.
- Weekend shifts are every other weekend.
- Facility requires certifications to be renewed 15 days prior to expiration.
- Candidates must complete facility online orientation and acknowledge required trainings before start.
