Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg

Location: Rock Island, Illinois
Employment Type: Temporary
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses.
• Patient assignments typically involve caring for 5-7 patients.
• Work with electronic medical records (EMR) system EPIC.
• Orientation sessions available on scheduled dates.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in Medical-Surgical, Post-Operative, or Stepdown nursing.
• Surgical and post-operative surgical experience required.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license for Illinois.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Must have completed a skills checklist within 1 year of application.
• Must provide license verification, copy of required certifications, and one supervisory reference.
• Must have a taxable address located more than 50 miles from the facility.
• Not employed by this employer within the last 12 months.

Preferred Qualifications

• At least 1 prior travel nursing contract completed.

Work Schedule & Other Details

• 36-40 hours per week; overtime billable after 40 hours.
• May include holiday and on-call shifts.
• Night shift differential applies (16 hours).
• Charge and preceptor roles available with additional compensation.
• Call-back shifts require a minimum 2-hour commitment.

• Facility includes trauma centers of various levels in the region.
