Description

Registered Nurse (Acute RN) - Travel Assignment

Location: Syracuse, New York
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Start Date: ASAP


Job Details

  • Specialty: Acute RN
  • Schedule: 36 guaranteed hours, may work up to 40 hours per week
  • Work Days: 4 days per week, likely 10-hour shifts (approximately 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM)
  • On Call: Required (Sunday call and occasional weekday call)
  • Float: Required to float to a nearby hospital and community campus (about 10 minutes away)
  • Clinic Days: Open 6 days per week
  • Equipment Used: BBraun/NxStage machines
  • Shifts: 4 ten-hour shifts plus 2 call shifts per month

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as an Acute RN
  • Experience with either Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) or Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) is required; experience with both is highly preferred
  • BLS Certification

Additional Information

  • Travelers must be available for scheduling as-needed based on clinic needs and census; no scheduling requests or blocked schedules will be accommodated
  • Travelers must pick up their ID badge onsite after clearance to activate access
  • A firm start date cannot be established until after clearance and badge issuance, which may take 2-3 weeks after clearance
