Description
CT Tech - Radiology
Location: Reno, Nevada
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
As a CT Technologist, you will produce diagnostic CT scans, assist radiologists during procedures, and ensure patient care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings. You will operate advanced CT imaging equipment and administer IV contrast materials under radiologist direction. The role requires coordination of daily workflow and quality control monitoring, with a focus on trauma and acute care imaging.
Work Schedule
- 4x10 hour shifts, varied shifts
- 40 hours guaranteed weekly
- No call required
- May be required to work major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
- Floating to other areas within competency may be required
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in Nevada
- Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- One completed travel assignment as a CT Technologist
- Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, including ARRT(R) and ARRT(CT)
Responsibilities
- Perform CT procedures according to departmental policies and guidelines
- Provide patient care appropriate to all age groups (neonatal to geriatric)
- Operate CT scanning and contrast injection equipment proficiently
- Maintain CPR certification and complete mandatory in-services
- Assist in managing patient throughput in ER, inpatient, and outpatient settings
- Make technical decisions to optimize scan quality
- Coordinate with CT department for workflow and strategic planning
- Stay current with advances in CT imaging, especially trauma and stroke protocols

- The facility is a Level II Trauma Center with a high volume of trauma and emergency cases
- Advanced imaging technologies and procedures are utilized, including low-dose CT and specialized trauma imaging
- The role supports a fast-paced environment requiring adaptability and prioritization skills
