Registered Nurse (Operating Room) - Travel Assignment
Location: Lewiston, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel
Job Summary
The Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse demonstrates critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership in planning and delivering patient care in the operating room. The OR RN collaborates with surgeons, anesthesiologists, OR technicians, and other staff to provide care according to state nursing regulations, AORN standards, physician orders, and facility policies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Scheduling surgical cases
- Ensuring availability of supplies
- Managing case timeliness
- Communicating with patient families
- Updating physician preference cards
- Scrubbing and circulating during surgeries
- Supervising personnel delivering patient care
Schedule
- 8-hour day shifts (06:30 AM – 3:00 PM)
- Monday through Friday
- On-call one day per week and one weekend per month
Contract Length
- 13 weeks
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Idaho
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room (OR) experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- ACLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Trauma experience
