Registered Nurse - Emergency Department
Location: Tucson, Arizona
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
The Registered Nurse is responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the Nursing Process in accordance with the state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policies. This role requires critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership to ensure safe delivery of care in the Emergency Department. Responsibilities include maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education, delegating patient care priorities based on staff education and experience, and supervising assigned personnel delivering patient care.
- Shift: Days, 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM (3x12-hour shifts)
- Must be willing to float between units
- Preferred: Charge Nurse experience

- Trauma Level III Certified
- Stroke Receiving Center
- STEMI Receiving Center
- EMR System: Cerner (experience required)
- Dress Code: Black scrubs
- NIH Stroke Scale certification is recommended but not required
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Experience working in a Trauma Level III facility
- Proficiency with Cerner electronic medical record system
- Ability to work independently and lead a team in a fast-paced environment
