CT Technologist (Computed Tomography) - Phoenix, Arizona

Job Details

• Location: Phoenix, Arizona
• Specialty: CT Technologist (Computed Tomography)
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (minimum contract length)
• Work Environment:

  • Fast-paced environment
  • Teaching hospital with nursing students
  • Level 1 Trauma center experience required
  • Unit: CT Scan Department with 5 procedure rooms (2 in ER, 3 in main Radiology)
  • Approximately 25 cases per day, including routine CT exams, CTA with perfusion, and trauma cases
  • GE scanner experience required; Philips ICT preferred
  • EMR system: Cerner (PACS is DR systems)
  • Weekend work required depending on schedule (not every weekend)
  • No call, no holidays, no floating
  • Floor-specific orientation: at least 1 week with 1:1 orientation
  • Scrub color: Teal

Required Certifications and Licenses

• ARRT (R)(CT)
• MRTBE CRT and CTCT
• BLS Certification

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of core experience in CT specialty
• Level 1 Trauma and teaching hospital experience required
• Prior travel experience required for certain specialties (ED, Neuro ICU) but not explicitly stated for CT Tech role here
• GE scanner experience required; Philips preferred

Additional Requirements and Notes

• Prophecy Dysrhythmia Exam required 24-48 hours prior to acceptance (if applicable to unit)
• Must comply with facility policies: no facial piercings, natural hair colors only
• Must have own vehicle for travel teams
• Cannot work two contracts simultaneously within this system
• Onboarding paperwork must be completed by deadline (1pm CST Wednesday before start)
• 50-mile radius rule applies (no local rate)
• Candidates must have been off permanent staff in this system for 12 months to be considered for travel assignment

Orientation and Support

• Weekly orientations on Mondays (except holiday weeks)
• Work alongside another CT technologist in inpatient/ER settings
• Charge nurse/supervisor available for support

This position is ideal for CT Technologists with solid trauma and teaching hospital experience, who are comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with advanced imaging equipment and Cerner EMR.
