Registered Nurse - ICU

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Unit Information

• Unit: Neuro ICU (12 beds)
• Patient Ratio: 1:2
• Equipment: Baxter pumps
• Documentation System: Cerner
• Scheduling: Self-schedule with 6 weekend shifts per period
• Floating Policy: Travelers float first to other ICUs or step-down units

Job Description

• Care for neurology patients post-thrombectomy and TPA administration
• Care for post-neurosurgery patients
• Procedures performed on unit include CRRT, bedside EVDs, and arterial line monitoring
• Neurology ICU nursing experience preferred

Required Certifications & Licenses

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification

Requirements/Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 2 years of ICU nursing experience, including experience within the last year
• Care of neurology patients post-thrombectomy and TPA administration
• Care of post-neurosurgery patients
