Registered Nurse - Post Partum/Mom Baby
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Mother Baby Unit
- Beds: 34 private couplet rooms
- Staffing:
- Day Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 PCT/secretary
- Night Shift: 1 charge nurse, 11 RNs, 1 PCT/secretary
- Patient Ratios: 1:3-4 couplets
- Equipment: Alaris pumps, Bilirubin blankets/lights
- EMR System: Cerner
Job Description
- Provide nursing care on the Mother Baby Unit, including care for postpartum mothers and newborns.
- Typical procedures include circumcisions.
- Caring for patients on Magnesium Sulfate post-delivery is preferred.
- STABLE certification is preferred.
- Team player who enjoys teaching is the best personality fit.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of Post Partum nursing experience, including experience within the last year
- Experience in Mother Baby nursing
- Experience working with Maternal-Fetal patients
- BLS certification
- NRP certification
Additional Information
- Floating areas include Labor & Delivery and NICU as helping hands.
- Dress code: Navy blue/white scrubs.
- Weekends are required; no on-call shifts.
