Description

Occupational Therapist (OT) - Travel Position

Location: San Antonio, Texas
Contract Length: 12 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking an Occupational Therapist for a travel assignment in an inpatient physical therapy/occupational therapy unit. The unit has approximately 240 beds with a staff of 54, including 14-16 PTs per day shift. Patient ratios range from 1:8 to 1:10.

Typical Procedures:
- Gait training
- Transfer training
- Therapeutic exercise
- Discharge planning
- Family education
Equipment Used:
- Durable Medical Equipment (DME)
- Barton Chair
- Sara Stedy
- Standing frame
- Cardiac Walker
Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Meditech
Shift: Day shift (no night shift)
Weekends: Rotating weekends required
Dress Code: Olive green scrub top, black scrub bottoms

Required Qualifications

Valid Occupational Therapist license in Texas
Minimum 1 year of Occupational Therapist experience, including experience within the last year
Occupational Therapist (OT) assessment skills
OTR Certification
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Acute care experience
ICU experience

Floating area includes Inpatient Rehabilitation Facility (IRF) / Acute Rehabilitation Unit (ARU)
