CT Tech - Radiology (Travel Position)

Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

This travel CT Tech position is based in a large, 800-bed hospital with a Level II trauma center and specialized pediatric services. The imaging unit uses advanced equipment including GE Optima, GE EVO, GE Revolution scanners, and Medrad Injectors. The electronic medical record system includes Cerner Rad Net and Phillips PACs.

Unit Information

• Unit: Imaging CT
• Staffing:

  • Day Shift: 5 technologists + supervisor
  • Evening Shift: 4-5 technologists + radiology assistant
  • Night Shift: 2-3 technologists + radiology assistant
• Equipment: GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, Medrad Injectors
• EMR: Cerner Rad Net, Phillips PACs

Required Skills

• Proficient in all areas of CT imaging including diagnostic scans and invasive procedures
• Experience with emergency department trauma and stroke imaging

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with GE equipment
• Invasive CT procedures
• Cardiac imaging
• Venipuncture

Typical Procedures:

• Neuro, musculoskeletal (MSK), body imaging
• Invasive CT procedures
• Cardiac imaging
• Pediatric imaging

Personality Fit

Required Certifications & Qualifications

• Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
• ARRT (R) Certification
• BLS Certification
• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience in Radiology, including CT imaging
• Experience within the last year as a CT Technologist
• Experience with emergency department trauma imaging and stroke imaging

Work Schedule

• Possible weekend shifts
• Possible shift rotations
• Potential on-call requirement (~12 hours/month)
