Job Opportunity: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Details

Schedule: Friday, Saturday, Sunday
Shift Pattern: 3 shifts of 12 hours each
Charge nurse experience preferred
First-time travel nurses are welcome
Scrubs provided

Required Experience & Qualifications

Valid RN license in Oklahoma
Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
ACLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
BLS certification issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Required Licenses & Certifications

Valid Registered Nurse license for Oklahoma
ACLS & BLS certifications (AHA, RQI, ARC, or American Safety and Health Institute accepted)
Additional certifications may be required as applicable (e.g., PALS, NRP, CHEMO, TNCC, CPI)

Health & Compliance Requirements

Physical exam within 12 months of start date
Fit mask test within 1 year of start date, renewed annually
Adult Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap vaccine within 10 years (no declinations except approved medical exemptions)
Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year
Required immunizations or positive titers for:
- Measles (Rubeola)
- Mumps
- Rubella
- Hepatitis B (or declination accepted)
- Varicella
Negative 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start
Seasonal flu vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)

Background & Documentation Requirements

7-year background check within 1 year of start, updated annually
Education verification (highest level) required
Work history verification for the past 7 years
Valid driver’s license or state ID
Photo for badge
Completion of employment application/resume
Unit-specific skills checklist annually
Competency exams as applicable (minimum passing score 80%)
Core HIPAA and safety training acknowledgment

Additional Notes

Prior travel experience is not required for this position
Fingerprinting may be required for certain locations (not applicable here)
Candidates must comply with all health and safety protocols
