Job Description

  • 13-week contract position
  • Experience in Chemotherapy/Oncology required
  • Unit types include general pediatrics, hematology/oncology, orthopedics, and surgical
  • Must have general pediatrics experience
  • Will float to PICU and NICU for appropriate assignments; additional float units possible based on skill set and hospital needs
  • Schedule includes every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)
  • Patient ratio approximately 1:5
  • Charting system: EPIC
  • Scrub color: Navy
  • First-time travelers are accepted

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Jersey
  • Minimum 1.5 years of pediatrics nursing experience, including experience within the last year
  • Experience working with pediatric patients
  • Oncology experience
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
  • APHON (Association of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Nurses) certification
  • IV Certification
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
