Description
Physical Therapist
Location: Clovis, New Mexico
Employment Type: Clinical - Allied
Contract Length: 27 weeks
Job Summary
- Evaluate and treat patients using a variety of therapeutic interventions for rehabilitation of physical and developmental disorders.
- Floating between departments and/or local locations within 20 miles is required.
- Settings may include inpatient, outpatient, long-term care, community-based care, and home health care.
- Coordinate and communicate with various disciplines involved in patient care.
- Promote patient/caregiver self-determination and optimize resource utilization to achieve independence.
- Serve as a patient advocate.
Pediatric Physical Therapist Additional Duties
- Evaluate and treat infants, children, and adolescents for various health conditions affecting motor development, strength, range of motion, endurance, balance, coordination, and gait.
- Interview children and family members and use physical examination to diagnose movement disorders.
- Float to adult units if pediatric patient census fluctuates.
- Treat pediatric patients from birth to 18 years old and adults 18 years and older.
- Settings include inpatient and inpatient emergency department.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Physical Therapist license in New Mexico
- Physical Therapist with 2 years of experience
- Physical Therapist experience within the last year
- BLS certification issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy
- Experience working with pediatric patients
- Experience in inpatient settings
- Experience in outpatient settings
- At least one 13-week previous travel assignment
- Pediatric Physical Therapist experience
