Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position

Location: Lewiston, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel


Job Description

As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care to patients experiencing severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Key responsibilities include:

  • Assessing patient conditions and developing/implementing care plans
  • Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
  • Assisting physicians with procedures
  • Monitoring and recording vital signs
  • Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment (including adjusting ventilators/IABP)
  • Administering IV fluids and medications
  • Suctioning as needed
  • Collaborating with the critical care team
  • Responding to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols
  • Acting as a patient advocate
  • Providing education and support to patients’ families
  • Caring for pre- and post-operative patients
  • Potentially serving as case managers, policy makers, or performing administrative duties

Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 2 years recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
  • ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association

Contract Length

  • Approximately 13 weeks

  • Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this role.
