Registered Nurse (ICU) - Travel Position
Location: Lewiston, Idaho
Employment Type: Travel
Job Description
As a Critical Care Registered Nurse, you will provide specialized care to patients experiencing severe medical conditions such as heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, and respiratory distress. Key responsibilities include:
- Assessing patient conditions and developing/implementing care plans
- Treating wounds and providing advanced life support
- Assisting physicians with procedures
- Monitoring and recording vital signs
- Managing ventilators, monitors, and other medical equipment (including adjusting ventilators/IABP)
- Administering IV fluids and medications
- Suctioning as needed
- Collaborating with the critical care team
- Responding to life-saving situations using established nursing protocols
- Acting as a patient advocate
- Providing education and support to patients’ families
- Caring for pre- and post-operative patients
- Potentially serving as case managers, policy makers, or performing administrative duties
Required Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Idaho
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum of 2 years recent ICU (Intensive Care Unit) experience, including experience within the last year
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by the American Heart Association
Contract Length
- Approximately 13 weeks
