Job Opportunity: CT Technologist

Location: Missouri Valley, Iowa
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Summary

Seeking a certified CT Technologist with advanced knowledge of CT exams to work primarily nights covering ER, inpatient, and occasional outpatient imaging. The role involves operating one CT machine, one x-ray room, and one portable x-ray unit. The position requires working independently during night shifts with strong communication and teamwork support from ancillary departments.

Work Schedule

• 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday, 7:00 PM – 5:30 AM
• Weekend coverage usually handled by permanent staff; may be asked to pick up shifts based on availability
• No holiday coverage required
• One week of unit/department-specific orientation provided

Imaging & Equipment

• Mixed adult and pediatric patient population
• Imaging includes CT, CT angiography (CTAs), and portable x-rays
• Equipment includes Siemens Multix X-ray room, Siemens Mobilett Elara Max Portable, Siemens Somatom GoUP CT with Bracco Injector
• EMR system: EPIC
• PACS system: McKesson

Requirements

Licensure & Certifications

• Must be a certified X-ray technologist with CT experience (CT certification not mandatory but advanced CT knowledge required)
• ARRT certification required
• BLS certification required
• Valid driver’s license required at submission

Experience

• Advanced knowledge and experience in CT imaging required
• No explicit prior travel experience required

Additional Information

• No clinical involvement beyond imaging duties
• Artificial nails are prohibited in all patient care areas; refusal to comply may result in contract termination
• Candidates must reside within 50 miles of the facility and must not have worked full-time, part-time, or PRN within the past year at any related facilities within the specified healthcare system
• No radiology supervisor or lead tech on night shifts
• No Registered Radiology Assistants (RRAs) or in-house radiologist coverage during shifts

This position is ideal for a CT Technologist comfortable working independently during night shifts with a strong background in CT imaging and patient care compliance.
