Description
Job Opportunity: Cardiac Cath Lab Technician
Location: Cincinnati, Ohio
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (13 weeks)
Shift: AM Shift, 4 shifts of 10 hours each
Call: Every 3rd weekend call (Friday 5:30 PM – Monday 7:00 AM), other weekday call as needed
Out of Hospital Response Time: 30 minutes from activation
Job Description
Seeking a Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist with a minimum of 1 year of experience. The candidate must be proficient in the following procedures and equipment:
- Angioplasty
- Percutaneous Intervention
- Impella and IntraAortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Atherectomy Devices/Technique (Rotablader)
- Temporary Venous Pacemaker and Swan Ganz Placement
- Scrubbing Technique for procedures (encouraged)
Experience with Philips and Siemens Fluoroscopy Systems is a plus but not required.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Cath Lab Technologist license in Ohio
- Certified with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab Technologist experience
- Experience with Angioplasty
- Experience with Percutaneous Intervention
- Experience with Impella
- Experience with IntraAortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
- Experience with Atherectomy devices/techniques (Rotablader)
- Experience with Temporary Venous Pacemaker placement
- Experience with Swan Ganz placement
Health and Compliance Requirements
- Fit Test (3M N95 1860S, 1870+, or PAPR) – Annual requirement
- Proof of immunizations or titers:
- MMR (2 vaccinations or positive IGG titer)
- Hepatitis B (series of 3, positive titer, or declination accepted)
- Varicella (2 vaccinations or positive IGG titer)
- Tdap recommended for pediatric positions (optional here)
- Influenza vaccine required during flu season (medical/religious exemptions considered)
- TB Test (QuantiFERON / T-Spot or 2-step Skin Test) within 30 days prior to start
- Physical/Health Statement within 1 year
- 9-panel Drug Screen within 90 days prior to start (must be repeated with any break in service)
- Criminal Background Check completed within 90 days prior to start (7-year county and national, SSN trace, sex offender, OIG, SAM, OFAC)
- Two professional references from a charge nurse or higher within last 2 years
- Education verification of highest level completed
- Color badge photo (recent, professional)
- Skills checklist current within 12 months prior to start
- Annual compliance training completed and certified

- Resume submission required
