    Job Opportunity: Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

    Location: Orange, California
    Employment Type: Travel/Contract
    Contract Length: 13 weeks


    Job Summary

    Seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to work 3 twelve-hour day shifts (07:00-19:30). The role requires the ability to circulate in the delivery room and work in a fast-paced, large hospital setting.


    Requirements

    • Valid RN license in California
    • Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery nursing experience, including experience within the last year
    • One completed travel assignment
    • BLS issued by American Heart Association
    • ACLS issued by American Heart Association
    • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
    • AWHONN Intermediate or AWHONN or NCC-EFM certification
    • Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

    • Acute Care Hospital with Magnet recognition
    • 426 staffed beds
    • Charting system: Epic
    • Free parking available
    • Scrub colors: Navy Blue for RNs; L&D/OR scrubs provided

    Compliance & Documentation Requirements

    • Physical exam within 1 year of start, signed by MD, NP, PA, or DO
    • Immunizations and health screenings including:
      • TB test or chest X-ray within 12 months
      • TDAP vaccine within 10 years or declination
      • MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination or positive titer
      • Varicella vaccination or positive titer
      • Hepatitis B vaccination or declination
      • Flu vaccine during flu season or declination
      • COVID vaccine or declination
    • 10-panel drug screen within 90 days of start (no instant tests)
    • Respirator clearance for respirator use (annual)
    • Fit mask testing (annual, travel only)
    • Background check within 45 days of start covering all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
    • Education verification and employment application covering last 5 years
    • Minimum of 2 professional references covering 1 year of employment in a comparable specialty/setting within the last 3 years
    • Skills checklist updated annually for applicable units
    • Completion of required WorkRamp modules (regulatory, specialty, and regional) prior to start and annually thereafter

    Scheduling & Shift Details

    • Shift: 3x12 hour day shifts (07:00-19:30)
    • Weekends may be required more frequently than every other weekend
    • Guaranteed hours with the ability for the facility to call off once per pay period (every 2 weeks)
    • Local radius for travel is 50 miles

    Notes

    • No pending licenses accepted
    • No travel pairs accepted
    • Must meet all certification and skill requirements without exception
    • Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

    This position is ideal for experienced Labor and Delivery RNs who have prior travel contract experience and are ready to work in a busy, acute care hospital environment with a strong focus on compliance and certifications.
