Description
Job Opportunity: Certified CT Technologist
Location: Boston, Massachusetts
Employment Type: Long-Term Assignment (approximately 13 weeks)
Schedule: Overnight shifts on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday
Facility Type: Level 1 Trauma and Stroke Hospital
Equipment: Mix of Siemens and GE CT scanners
Team: Typically 5-6 CT technologists working overnight
Required Qualifications
- License: Valid CT Technologist license with primary source verification required within 30 days of start date. Conditional licenses are not accepted.
- Certification: ARRT certification required.
- BLS Certification: Current BLS certification from AHA, Red Cross, CHSF, or Military required.
- Experience: Minimum years of experience not explicitly stated; assume standard CT Technologist experience required.
- Health Requirements:
- Documentation of immunity or vaccination for MMR (measles, mumps, rubella) required.
- TB test documentation within 3 months of start date (skin test or blood test) required and must be updated if there is a break longer than 6 months.
- Physician health statement within 1 year of start date required.
- Fit testing for N95 respirator within 1 year of start date and updated annually required. Respirator medical clearance attestation required if fit test is needed.
- Background Checks:
- Criminal background check within 45 days prior to start date and updated if break exceeds 6 months.
- Massachusetts CORI background check within 30 days prior to start date and updated if break exceeds 6 months.
- Social Security Number trace for the past 7 years.
- National sex offender registry check within 30 days of start and updated annually.
- Exclusion checks against OIG, GSA, and Medicaid exclusion lists within 30 days of start and annually.
- Additional Documentation:
- Resume including past 7 years of work experience with city and state.
- Two professional references within 4 years, including at least one supervisor or higher.
- Skills checklist completed within 1 year of submission.
- Confirmation of assignment form required for initial assignments and extensions.
- Education verification through background check company.
- Candidate submission coversheet required for initial assignment submissions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Hepatitis B vaccination or proof of immunity preferred but not required.
- Tdap vaccination within 10 years preferred.
- Documentation of chest x-ray if positive TB test.
Additional Notes
- No onsite fit testing available; must be completed prior to start.
- No religious or medical exemptions allowed for N95 fit testing.
- Overnight shifts in a busy trauma and stroke center with a collaborative team environment.
