NICU Registered Nurse Travel/Contract Job - Hickory, North Carolina

Job Details

• Location: Hickory, North Carolina
• Employment Type: Travel/Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Nights, 3x12 hour shifts with option to flex to a 4th shift if needed; overtime after 48 hours
• Schedule: Minimum every other weekend (Friday-Saturday-Sunday)
• Unit: Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) Level III and/or Level IV
• EMR System: Meditech (experience preferred)

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in North Carolina
• Minimum 2 years of Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) nursing experience, with experience within the last year
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification
• STABLE certification
• NURSYS verification for RN, LPN/LVN, or AP license
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)

Required Documentation & Compliance

• Proof of I9 or attestation
• Government issued photo ID (must be carried during hours of service)
• Proof of E-Verify or attestation
• Background check: 7-year criminal check within one year of start, updated annually; must include all locations lived/worked in past 7 years
• Education verification of highest degree/diploma (official transcript or diploma may be required)
• NURSYS verification for RN license (must be current within 30 days of start)
• Physical exam within 1 year, attesting ability to meet physical demands
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray within 1 year (updated annually)
• Immunizations or titers for:

  • Measles (Rubeola)
  • Mumps
  • Rubella
  • Hepatitis B
  • Varicella
• 9-panel drug screen within 12 months (instant acceptable)
• Flu vaccination required during flu season (Oct 1 - Apr 1) or approved exemption
• Proof of 2 clinical references (hospital evaluations accepted)
• Skills checklist updated annually for applicable unit

• Blocked schedule requests will be considered
• Must include current NURSYS report with application
• Candidates must bring hard copies of all health documents on first day
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
