Job Opportunity: Physical Therapist
Location: Los Angeles, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks (3 months minimum)
Shift:
- 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts
- Occasional weekend coverage and floating as needed
Job Description
Seeking a Physical Therapist for a skilled nursing facility (SNF) setting. The assignment requires working 36 hours per week with a start date ASAP.
Required Qualifications
- Valid California Physical Therapist license
- Minimum 1 year of experience in skilled nursing facility (SNF) specialty preferred; new graduates will be considered
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross)
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification preferred
- Must provide government-issued photo ID
- Must complete standard background checks including 7-year work/living history and national registries
- Required health documentation including:
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year
- Immunization or titer proof for Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Hepatitis B, Varicella
- Drug screening (9 panel) within 1 year
- Seasonal flu vaccination or declination during flu season (Oct 1 - Mar 31)
- Required competency exams and medication/pharmacology competency as applicable
- Professional references required (2 for travel/allied/per diem acute care; 1 for per diem non-acute care)
Additional Information
- May require occasional weekend shifts and floating to other units
- Prior travel experience is not explicitly required for this position
