Description
CT Tech - Radiology
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 6 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Unit: CT Imaging
- Number of Beds: 800
- Staff per Shift:
- Day Shift: 5 Technologists + Supervisor
- Evening Shift: 4-5 Technologists + Radiology Assistant
- Night Shift: 2-3 Technologists + Radiology Assistant
- Equipment: GE Optima, 3 GE EVO, GE Revolution, Medrad Injectors
- EMR Systems: Cerner Rad Net, Phillips PACs
Job Responsibilities & Procedures
- Perform all areas of CT imaging including diagnostic scans and invasive procedures
- Imaging in Emergency Department trauma and stroke cases
- Typical procedures include neuro, musculoskeletal (MSK), body imaging, invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and pediatric imaging
Required Qualifications
- Valid CT Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT (R) Certification required
- BLS Certification required
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with GE equipment
- Skills in invasive CT, cardiac imaging, and venipuncture
Work Environment & Schedule
- Dress Code: Black scrubs
- Possible weekend shifts
- Potential rotation to other shifts
- On-call requirement: up to 12 hours per month
