Description
Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) Travel Position
Location: Asheville, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Hours per Week: 36
Unit Information
- Large facility with approximately 800 beds
- Staffing varies by shift:
- Day Shift: 16 technologists + supervisor
- Evening Shift: 10 technologists, 2 student techs + supervisor
- Night Shift: 4 technologists + supervisor
- Equipment includes GE diagnostic rooms, portable GE and Shiatzu units, C-arms (OEC), and O-arms (Medtronics)
- Electronic Medical Record system: Cerner Rad Net
Job Responsibilities & Skills
- Perform all diagnostic radiology imaging including portable and operating room (OR) procedures
- Experience with emergency department (ED) trauma imaging required
- Preferred skills: fluoroscopic procedures and surgical imaging
- Typical procedures: diagnostic imaging, portable imaging, trauma imaging, fluoroscopic, and surgical imaging
- Must be a team player who can also work independently and be self-motivated
Required Qualifications
- Valid Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist, including experience within the last year
- ARRT Certification
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
Additional Information
- Dress code: black scrubs
- Weekend rotation required
- Travel assignment (temporary contract)
