Registered Nurse - Hematology/Oncology/Palliative Care

Location: Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Employment Type: Clinical Nursing (Local)
Contract Length: 13 weeks


Job Description

The Registered Nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care for an identified group of patients in an inpatient environment. This role involves delivering care primarily to an adult patient population. The position follows the ANA Nursing: Scope and Standards of Practice, 2nd Edition (2010).


Required Qualifications

  • Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Wisconsin
  • Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
  • Minimum of 1 year of oncology experience, with oncology experience within the last year
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers
  • Clinical competence and experience in the care and management of hematology, oncology, and palliative care patient populations specific to the area of employment

Additional Information

  • Professional knowledge of nursing theory and practice consistent with completion of an accredited School of Nursing program
  • Experience delivering care in an inpatient setting to primarily adult patients
