Unit: Telemetry
Department: Telemetry
Number of Openings: 2
Shift: Primarily Day and Afternoon shifts
Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
Weekend Hours: Every other weekend
Call Requirements: None
Patient Ratio: 4:1
Number of Beds on Unit: 24
Patient Population: Generalized cardiac patients, ages young adult to elderly adult
Float Requirements: May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, and/or Surgical units

Required Certifications and Licenses

Registered Nurse (RN) License
BLS (Basic Life Support)
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
NIH Certification

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years of experience as an RN in cardiac specialty
Must have experience with Life Pak, Zoll, Masimo equipment
Preferred experience with Cerner electronic health record system
Prior travel experience is not explicitly required

Chest Pain
Atrial Fibrillation (A-fib)
Congestive Heart Failure (CHF)
Pre- and Post-care for cardiac catheterizations (groin & radial)
Video-Assisted Thoracoscopic Surgery (VATS)

Requirements/Qualifications

Valid RN license in North Carolina
Minimum 2 years of telemetry nursing experience, including experience within the last year
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
Experience with Cerner electronic health record system
Experience with MEDITECH electronic health record system
