Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of OR experience, including Endovascular (IR procedures) and Vascular cases
• Active Illinois nursing license or confirmation that application process has been initiated
• BLS (AHA) Certification required
• Must pass a comprehensive drug screen (drug-free campus policy)

Job Details

• Shift: Days
• Hours: 10 hours per day, 40 hours per week (typically 4x10 shifts)
• Scrubbing required; hospital provides scrubs
• EMR system: EPIC
• Call requirements:

  • Weekend call every 3rd weekend (from 7 AM Saturday to 7 AM Monday)
  • Holiday call rotation
  • Call response time: 30 minutes
• Floating: May be required to float to other surgical teams and IR team
• Orientation: Unit-specific orientation includes scrubbing with a hospital surgical tech for one week; 12 non-billable orientation hours

Work Environment

• Average of 3 cases per day in a single-suite OR, with plans for unit growth
• Charge nurse and house supervisor present on each shift
• OR techs available on shift

Additional Notes

• Local rate adjustments apply for clinicians living within 50 miles
• Call off policy allows 12 hours off every 13 weeks without penalty
