Registered Nurse - Case Management

Location: Brooksville, Florida
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Work within a 350-bed facility on the Case Management unit.
• Unit staff includes Case Managers (CM), Social Workers (SW), and a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) coordinator.
• Day shift typical staffing example: 1 charge nurse, 3 RNs, 2 CNAs, and 1-3 sitters.
• Patient ratio approximately 25:1.
• Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems used: Meditech and Midas.
• Candidates without acute Case Management experience will not be considered.
• Preferred experience includes familiarity with Meditech, Midas, and prior experience within similar healthcare settings.
• Scheduled to work every other weekend and holidays on a rotating basis with hospital employees.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Florida
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 2 years of Case Management experience, including acute hospital Case Management
• Case Management experience within the last year
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• De-escalation skills in a healthcare setting
• Current immunizations and testing including Hepatitis B, MMR, Varicella, TDAP vaccine/TD booster, TB testing, and TB questionnaire
