Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Las Cruces, New Mexico
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Description

• Provide nursing care in the Emergency Department.
• Orientation is held weekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff.
• The facility is a Joint Commission Accredited hospital with specialized certifications including Chest Pain Center with Primary PCI and Certified Primary Stroke Center.
• The hospital has 199 beds and offers a variety of inpatient and outpatient diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services.

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in New Mexico
• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department (ED) experience, including experience within the last year
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Current ACLS certification
• Current BLS certification
• Current CPI certification
• Current PALS certification
• Current NIHSS certification

• The position is year-round with opportunities to work in a region known for outdoor recreation including hiking, biking, and national parks.
• Prior travel experience is not explicitly required.
