RN - OR Circulator (General & Neuro Surgery) - Travel Position

Position Details

• Employment Type: Travel
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Day shift, 4x10 hour shifts per week (10-hour shifts)
• Weekly Hours: 36 guaranteed hours
• Call Requirements: Rotating weekend call approximately every 6-7 days; scheduled late shifts that require staying late if needed
• Number of Openings: 1

• Surgical Areas Covered: Neuro, General Surgery (including Urology and Gynecology), Orthopedic Surgery
• Patient Type: Surgical patients
• Equipment Used: DaVinci Xi robot, Hana Table, Arthrex tower, Beach Chair
• Electronic Medical Record (EMR): EPIC

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Missouri
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) experience within the last year
• Neurosurgery experience
• Urology experience
• OB/GYN experience
• Orthopedics experience

Role Description

• The circulating nurse is responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating perioperative patient care
• Acts as a patient advocate throughout the surgical process
• Must be flexible with types of surgical cases, demonstrate a strong work ethic, and be a team player

Dress Code

• Scrubs provided by hospital in the OR
• Scrub color: Black only
• No other scrub colors or attire allowed

• This is not an auto-offer position
• The facility is a 244-bed hospital serving a large regional population
• Weekend hours are not specifically assigned outside of call requirements
• No float requirements for this role
