Job Opportunity: Interventional Radiology
Location: Winston Salem, North Carolina
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
- Shift: First shift, Monday to Friday, 4x10 hour days with staggered start times between 7:00 AM and 8:30 AM.
- Call Requirement: Rotate primary call approximately 1 day every 4 weeks and every 5th-6th weekend; backup call approximately 7 days every 9 weeks.
- Weekend Requirement: Weekends and evenings/nights on call rotation.
- Float Requirement: None.
- Patient Population: Majority adults and geriatrics, some adolescents.
- Daily Case Load: 13-17 cases.
- Orientation: One week hospital orientation with daily classes required.
- Scrubs: Provided.
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum 1 year of specialty experience (Interventional Radiology).
- Prior travel experience required; first-time travelers not accepted.
- Experience with neuro procedures and inpatient hospital settings.
- Proficient with PACS and contrast media.
- Experience with all interventional radiology procedures including:
- Stents, angioplasty, angiograms, nephrograms, kyphoplasty, peripheral interventions, biopsies, drainages, upper and lower extremity studies, abdominal and pelvic studies, genitourinary studies, vascular studies, venous access, and neurological studies.
- Experience with Siemens and Phillips x-ray equipment required.
- Certifications: BLS and ARRT required.
Preferred Skills and Certifications
- ARRT Advanced Certification preferred.
- Experience with EPIC and McKesson systems preferred.
- Experience in outpatient, OR, ER, Level I trauma, teaching hospital, community hospital settings.
- Experience with ablations preferred.
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Interventional Radiology Technologist license in North Carolina.
- Minimum 1 year of Interventional Radiology Technologist experience within the last year.
- Experience in an inpatient hospital setting.
- Proficient with PACS.
Additional Requirements
- Compliance with hospital and state-specific documentation and background checks.
- Completion of required health screenings and immunizations including:
- Negative TB test or chest x-ray within 1 year of start.
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Hepatitis B immunizations or titers as required.
- Seasonal flu vaccination or approved exemption during flu season.
- Drug screening within 6 months of start.
- Completion of hospital-specific orientation and mandatory education modules.
- Ability to pass competency exams including dysrhythmia/EKG competency if applicable.
- Radiation badge required for this role.
Notes
- No return to office (RTO) after booking allowed; call-offs or additional RTO may result in cancellation.
- Candidate must be available for interview within 72 hours of submission.
- Photo ID and passport-style photo required for badge creation.
- Must complete all required hospital orientation and training modules prior to or during the first week onsite.
