Job Opportunity: Mammography Tech
Location: Oakland, California
Employment Type: Travel/Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Details
- Position: Mammography Tech
- Specialty: Radiology / Cardiology
- Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
- Rotating weekend shifts: Tuesday to Friday 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM and Saturday 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM with Monday off
- Every other weekend and 1 Saturday per month
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Mammography Technologist license in California
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Mammography Technologist experience within the last year
Required Certifications & Licenses
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- CRT (Certified Radiologic Technologist)
- California State Mammography Licensure (Certified Radiologic Technologist certification by the California Department of Health Services)
Education
- Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
Background & Compliance Requirements
- 7-year background check required within 6 months of start
- Education verification and transcript/diploma verification as applicable
- Various federal and state background screenings including EPLS, HHS/OIG, FACIS Level 3, and others as required
- Drug screening: Negative 9-panel drug screen within 6 months of start (excluding marijuana/cannabinoids due to California law)
- Physical exam within 1 year of start
- TB screening (negative test or chest x-ray) within 90 days of start, renewed annually
- Immunizations and titers required:
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Tdap (within 10 years)
- Measles, Mumps, Rubella (proof of immunity or vaccination)
- Hepatitis B (series or declination)
- Varicella (proof of immunity or vaccination)
- Seasonal Flu vaccination during flu season (Nov 1 - Apr 30) or signed declination
- Fit mask test within 1 year of start, renewed annually (with accommodations for religious exemptions or facial hair)
- Respiratory safety clearance required, renewed annually
Additional Requirements
- Must complete facility-specific documents and attestations prior to start (e.g., code of conduct, confidentiality agreements, orientation materials)
- Employment application must include full 7 years of work history with no gaps
- References: 2 professional references required (Aya requirement, not client)
- Competency exams as applicable (medication test, dysrhythmia/EKG competency, etc.)
