Description
Job Opportunity: Certified Surgical Technician (CST) - Operating Room
Location: Aurora, Colorado
Employment Type: Travel Contract
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Unit Information
- Unit: Cardiovascular Surgery Operating Room (OR Heart Team)
- Shift: Weekday shifts, 7 AM to 5 PM
- Call Requirements: Call may be required; details discussed during interview
- Weekends: No weekend shifts required
- Team Structure:
- Day Shift: Teams of 3 (2 RNs and 1 CST)
- Night Shift: Teams of 2 (1 RN and 1 CST)
- Patient Ratios: 1:1
- Equipment Used: Stryker, GE
- Electronic Medical Record (EMR) System: Meditech
Typical Procedures
- Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG)
- Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA) repair
- Valve Replacement
- Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR)
Required Qualifications
- Valid Surgical Technologist license in Colorado
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
- Minimum 3 years of Surgical Technologist experience, including experience within the last year
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Additional Information
- Candidates without the required skills and experience will not be considered
- May be asked to float to other related units as needed
